Requirements

Candidates should possess a degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience in data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems. A deep understanding of multithreading, concurrency, parallel processing, and distributed systems scalability challenges is essential. Experience with Go, OpenSearch, Redis, Kafka, Kubernetes, Git, and AWS is required, along with a strong grasp of engineering best practices, including testing paradigms, code reviews, and resilient architecture. The ability to scale backend systems using sharding, partitioning, and horizontal scaling is crucial. Prior experience in cybersecurity or intelligence fields is a plus.

Responsibilities

The Engineer III - Cloud will lead backend engineering efforts for large-scale applications and cloud-based systems within a micro-service environment. Responsibilities include brainstorming, defining, and building collaboratively with cross-functional teams, championing new technologies, and mentoring other developers. The role involves constantly re-evaluating and improving product architecture, knowledge models, user experience, performance, and stability. Additionally, engineers are expected to be self-starters, take ownership of deliverables, and contribute to the open-source community.
