Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. A minimum of 5 years of experience in ECAD/MCAD library management is required, particularly in creating Allegro Layout symbols and Siemens NX 3D models. Expertise in Allegro PCB Editor, Siemens NX, and related tools is essential, along with a solid understanding of Part Life Cycle, EOL parts, and RoHS. Familiarity with IPC standards for PCB footprint creation and JEDEC standards for manufacturability is necessary, as well as experience with version control systems like Git or PLM software.

Responsibilities

The ECAD/MCAD Librarian will manage and maintain symbol and component libraries, ensuring seamless integration between electrical and mechanical design workflows. They will develop, maintain, and organize the ECAD library for Allegro Layout PCB footprints and the MCAD library for Siemens NX, creating and validating complex schematic symbols and PCB footprints in compliance with IPC standards. The role involves collaborating with the manufacturing team to adjust symbols and footprints for design for manufacturability (DFM) requirements, partnering with engineers to ensure accurate integration between ECAD and MCAD domains, and establishing best practices for library version control and data integrity.
