Candidates should possess a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited college of pharmacy and must be licensed to practice pharmacy in the state of employment. A minimum of one year of experience as a registered pharmacist is required, along with strong knowledge of pharmacy law and regulations.
The District Support Pharmacist will cover pharmacist scheduling gaps within the district under the direction of the Pharmacy Manager and Rx District Leader, supporting pharmacy teams and overseeing pharmacy operations. They will fulfill prescriptions, counsel patients, and administer immunizations, ensuring safe and accurate dispensing practices. Additionally, the DSP will assume Pharmacy Manager duties during bench shifts, contribute to positive patient experiences through empathy and care, and support effective pharmacy inventory management while coaching the pharmacy team.
