Candidates should possess a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited college of pharmacy and be licensed to practice pharmacy in the relevant state. They should have at least two years of experience as a registered pharmacist, preferably in a retail pharmacy setting, and demonstrate strong knowledge of pharmaceutical compounding, medication dispensing, and patient counseling.
The District Support Pharmacist will cover pharmacist scheduling gaps within the district, working under the direction of the Pharmacy Manager and Rx District Leader to support pharmacy teams. They will oversee the pharmacy operation, assume Pharmacy Manager’s day-to-day duties during bench shifts, and contribute to safe and accurate prescription fulfillment by following pharmacy workflow procedures and utilizing safety guardrails. Additionally, they will support patient health through immunizations, engage Pharmacy Technicians in learning to immunize, and proactively offer compassionate care and resolve insurance/medication issues while contributing to positive patient experiences.
