Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil), Construction Management or equivalent experience
  • PMP or equivalent certification (preferred)
  • Minimum of 5-8 years in power plant construction, with at least 3 years in project management roles
  • Understanding of natural gas engines, balance of plant (BOP), EPC contracts, and construction methodologies
  • Strong knowledge of electrical power distribution systems at various voltages, electrical equipment, switchgear controls, grounding design, and National Electrical Code (NEC) requirements
  • Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
  • Proficiency in MS Project, Primavera P6, AutoCAD, and project management tools
  • Experience in Guaranteed Max Price, Lump Sum and EPC projects (preferred)
  • Familiarity with international power plant standards (ISO, ASME, API, IEC, IEEE, OSHA, etc.) (preferred)
  • Knowledge of contract management and FIDIC contracts (preferred)
  • Ability to work remotely with travel to various locations as required and manage multiple project phases in high-pressure environments

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and execution strategies (Project Planning & Execution)
  • Lead cross-functional teams, including engineers, Direct Hire Construction Supervision, contractors, suppliers, and consultants (Team Coordination)
  • Oversee contract negotiations, risk management, and stakeholder communications (Contract & Stakeholder Management)
  • Ensure adherence to safety regulations, environmental policies, and industry standards (Compliance & Quality Assurance)
  • Monitor project expenditures and financial performance (Budget & Cost Control)
  • Prepare progress reports, risk assessments, and compliance documentation (Reporting & Documentation)
  • Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of Gas Engine Power Plant construction projects safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with regulatory and quality standards
