Responsibilities

  • Ensure Medtronic’s Business Conduct Standards and other Compliance Programs and Policies are understood and followed
  • Develop, implement, and deliver training on compliance policies and procedures
  • Provide compliance-related updates, presentations, metrics, and reports to Leadership Teams
  • Maintain oversight of third-party compliance risks through screening procedures, on-site assessments, training, and remediation of compliance gaps
  • Work closely with Functional and Operating Units to drive compliance and provide strategic advice
  • Support compliance audits and monitoring activities, including internal and external audits
  • Liaise with local industry associations on compliance and JFTC issues
  • Support the ANZ & Japan Compliance Officer in managing the compliance program in Japan
  • Provide high-quality compliance advice and services on the company’s compliance obligations and risks
  • Answer day-to-day queries on the application of BCS and other compliance requirements
  • Conduct reviews of business interactions with HCPs/HCOs and sales/marketing activities, and provide prior approvals and daily consultations
  • Perform analytics and drive risk-based discussions with business units through key compliance metrics
  • Analyze metrics and set KPIs for improvement in Japan
  • Develop and implement training and communications for a company-wide compliance program
  • Make recommendations to improve processes or systems to enhance the Compliance Team’s performance and efficiency
  • Provide assistance and engage in Compliance projects
  • Work independently to develop solutions to moderately complex problems
  • Participate in the creation and maintenance of Compliance Team’s SharePoint sites and training materials
  • Deliver and manage projects and work with stakeholders to achieve desired results
  • Encourage ethical behavior and protect the corporation from exposure to unacceptable risks
