The Director Technical Operations must have extensive experience in technical operations within an IPP-focused services leadership team. They need to provide crucial knowledge, insight, and reporting to Operations and Maintenance and Asset Management to support safety, quality, and operational reliability. The role requires acting as a key bridge between field operations and asset management, managing the ROC, Performance, Engineering, and Compliance. The Director must ensure the ROC is a proactive part of the operational safety chain and that operational reporting and procedures are standardized and automated. Additionally, they must ensure the Engineering team provides clear, actionable recommendations to field teams to support the business drive for safe, reliable performance, aiming for 95% operational performance at OE sites. The role also involves building organizational capability by ensuring the right team is in place to deliver organizational goals and working with field operations and the training team to ensure rapid onboarding of new sites.
