Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in commercial strategy, operations, or consulting within the biopharma industry, with a strong focus on oncology
  • Proven success in leading global strategic initiatives and product launches in oncology
  • Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills
  • Experience working in a matrixed, global organization with ability to influence senior stakeholders
  • Demonstrated agility to navigate and find solutions in complex markets
  • Experience of change management leading teams through organizational transformation
  • Ability to provide a strong voice to the team and success in effectively communicating and influencing decisions with senior management and matrix team
  • Ability to “flex” across different types of cultures, work, complexities, business situations and matrix partners
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully and effectively collaborate and work across boundaries (e.g. R&D, disease mgt., marketing, external development) and building strong external relationships
  • Preferred: Deep understanding of oncology market dynamics, including immuno-oncology, hematology, and precision medicine
  • Preferred: Familiarity with BMS’s oncology portfolio and pipeline is a plus
  • Preferred: Experience with digital strategy, omnichannel engagement, and data-driven decision-making

Responsibilities

  • Lead development of global commercial strategies for key oncology brands and assets in collaboration with Worldwide Brand Teams, Medical, Market Access, and regional partners
  • Support long-range planning, portfolio strategy, and lifecycle management across solid tumors and hematologic malignancies
  • Provide strategic insights on competitive landscape, market evolution, and innovation trends (e.g., IO, CELMoDs, bispecifics)
  • Drive launch readiness and execution for new oncology indications and assets, ensuring alignment across global and regional teams
  • Develop and manage commercial performance frameworks, including KPIs, dashboards, and business reviews
  • Optimize commercial processes and governance to enhance agility and decision-making
  • Partner with Finance, Medical, Regulatory, and Supply Chain to ensure integrated planning and execution
  • Facilitate strategic forums and governance processes to align stakeholders and drive accountability
  • Act as a key interface between US Commercial and Global Oncology teams to ensure strategic consistency and local relevance
  • Lead a team of strategy and operations professionals, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement
  • Mentor and develop talent, promoting cross-functional exposure and strategic thinking
