Requirements

8+ years of experience managing software engineering teams in a fast-paced, agile environment
12-15 years experience in designing and operationalizing software products at scale
High proficiency of both written and verbal English communication
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field or equivalent experience
Proven track record of delivering high-quality software on time and within budget
Proven success in growing and managing geographically distributed teams using successful recruiting, employee development, and retention
Prior experience in B2B enterprise SaaS startup
Experience with US Healthcare standards and regulations, e.g. FHIR/HL7, HIPAA
Experience with applied ML in healthcare or life sciences
Experience building and operating a compliant, secure data lake or lakehouse
Payer focused health-tech experience strongly preferred
Ability to reliably commute or relocate to Nacharam, Hyderabad, Telangana (Preferred)

Responsibilities

Recruit and build high-caliber full-stack engineering teams
Promote a culture where teams feel stimulated by their work and passionate about their role
Lead and manage engineering teams, including recruitment, mentorship, and performance evaluation
Nurture a collaborative and innovative culture within the engineering department
Develop and implement strategic plans for the engineering department in alignment with the company’s goals
Ownership and accountability of key engineering metrics of the platform (e.g., quality, availability, response time metrics, time to value, time to build)
Contribute to the company’s overall strategy and business planning
Identify opportunities for technological advancements and innovation
Develop long-term plans for technology development and deployment
Work closely with product management to define product requirements and specifications
Oversee the design, development, and deployment of products and features
Recommend applicable technical patterns and solutions aligned with architectural guiding principles and standards through regular delivery and continuous improvement
Ensure the scalability, security, and performance of products
Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company policies
Implement and maintain robust security protocols to protect company data and intellectual property
