Requirements

  • 8-10+ years sales experience, including 1-2+ years of people management
  • Equipped with best practices for scaling a sales team, developing effective sales strategies, originating, and managing a pipeline, and growing revenue
  • Metrics and data-driven with a modern approach to sales leadership and management
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and ambitious with an entrepreneurial nature
  • Superior communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Excellent sales trainer with a passion for professional and personal development
  • Strong cross functional relationship builder including with Account Management and Creative teams
  • Deep experience in full-cycle sales, including navigating all parts of the customer journey from inbound/outbound lead generation to pitching, negotiation and closing, to managing retention, renewals, upsells and cross-sells
  • Experience navigating large, 5- and 6-figure deals - sometimes with complex procurement processes - with a proven playbook for driving successful outcomes throughout the sales cycle (experience within the Marketing organization is a huge plus)
  • Strong pulse on the market and clients’ needs

Responsibilities

  • Lead a high-growth team of sellers supporting Morning Brew Inc’s B2B advertisers
  • Directly manage a team of high-performing sellers under the B2B Sales org
  • Provide oversight over the growing list of Emerging B2B advertisers
  • Work closely with the VP Sales and other cross-functional leaders to support sales and commercial efforts for the B2B sales team
  • Manage existing team members with room to make additional hires in 2026
  • Provide the team with direct coaching, training, enablement and support to help them grow personally and professionally
  • Provide direct, hands-on support for the team early and often with a positive, proactive, high-agency mindset
  • Evaluate and implement sales processes
  • Manage team KPIs to hit sales targets
  • Support building out an overall framework for success in partnership with VP Sales
  • Lead by example and take ownership of the area
  • Work well cross-functionally including with the Account Management, Pricing, and Creative teams
  • Direct the sales activities of the business optimally with a pulse of the market
