Responsibilities

  • Be part of the Rights and Clearances Team to ensure that all necessary clearances are obtained for the release of content across the label
  • Focus on ensuring that all necessary side-artist and sample clearances are obtained for the release of content by label artists
  • Advise and assist internal and external sources on rights inquiries regarding uses of label content
  • Track upcoming artist releases to identify potential side-artist and sample clearance issues
  • Investigate and respond to rights inquiries from internal and external sources
  • Keep detailed and organized information on department tracking charts, with pertinent information concerning outstanding clearances, contracts, and royalty data
  • Liaise with all levels of personnel and departments, including Business & Legal Affairs, Production, A&R, Marketing, Revenue, and Licensing to help assist with the release of content by label artists
