Responsibilities

Partner and consult with senior management to deliver analytical insights on Vanguard's strategy and client base. Ensure team partners effectively as consultants for business functions to deliver actionable insights and solutions
Hire, evaluate, and supervise crew. Provide guidance and training to develop crew. Set performance standards, review performance, and make informed compensation decisions in accordance with Human Resources policies and procedures
Oversee the enterprise-wide strategy and program for the adoption and implementation of analytics tools. Develop and maintain strategic plan to ensure tools and approaches meet evolving business demands. Develop an enterprise-wide view of analytics capabilities; identify gaps and propose solutions
Lead the team in consulting with business partners to establish efficient analytics and business intelligence tools, frameworks, and capabilities. Educate business leaders about self-service tools and provide support for teams as they stand up internal functions
Build and scale teams with expertise in advanced analytics, data engineering, analytics consulting, and business acumen. Oversee training strategy to foster development of analytical acumen for crew and leaders across Vanguard
Stay ahead of industry, market, and company trends. Ensure Vanguard's use of analytics tools is scalable and sustainable. Serve as a leader of Vanguard's analytics community and contribute expertise. Represent Vanguard in external industry events and proactively form external relationships to bring in new ideas, technology, and talents
Participate in the development of the department budget, including identification of technology investments and budget allocation to support these tools. Review expenses and ensure unit operates within budgetary guidelines
