Responsibilities

  • Leads a team assessing market opportunities, trends, customer needs, technology, and competitive landscape for MiSeq and LT NGS Systems across RUO and Dx, in partnership with customer/field marketing, commercial leadership, and sales teams
  • Develops strategic plan for investment and revenue growth in LT NGS systems, focused on targeted customer segments
  • Leads and manages product management team on product lifecycle activities, including new product proposals, development, product launch readiness, technical content for NPIs, product conversions, and EOL activities for library preparation and array product portfolio
  • Acts as primary interface with operations team to manage portfolio forecasting, inventory, back orders, and external communications on product issues to optimize global asset utilization
  • Drives lifecycle management activities to support revenue growth goals across markets and orchestrates EOL strategy to optimize revenue
  • Designs/implements effective forecasting models (quarterly, annual, 2-5 Year) with granularity at product family, market segment, and regional level, in partnership with stakeholders
  • Sets high-level pricing strategy in coordination with Pricing COE, including regional drivers
  • Sets and delivers against product revenue and profitability goals
  • Acts as internal and external evangelist shaping corporate and marketing strategy
  • Interfaces between operations and marketing/sales leadership
  • Provides input on product/service needs to R&D and technical platform roadmap
  • Partners with product marketing to provide guidance, input, and sign-off for GTM strategy and plans
  • Serves as single owner for NPI commercial success across commercial functions, primary point of contact for leadership, and accountable for year 1 NPI revenue
  • Develops content and communicates new product technical training with global segment marketing
  • Performs competitive differentiation and analysis of performance
