Requirements

  • 10+ years of progressively responsible human resources experience; including 3+ years in senior HR business partner or other senior client facing HR roles
  • Experience working with high performing commercial groups, such as sales and incentive-driven employees
  • Proven track record of building strong relationships with senior leaders
  • Ability to align around clear goals and objectives to connect to business goals and act as a strategic partner to stakeholders
  • Intimate understanding of supported businesses and ability to provide strategic partnership in organizational transformation, change management, employee engagement, talent and succession planning, career development, and workforce insights
  • Resourcefulness in assembling teams to build/launch tools, optimize processes, and drive change
  • Experience in global organizations, supporting leaders across countries and timezones, bridging cultural differences, and advocating in a global matrixed environment
  • Ability to thrive in ambiguity and manage issues without established processes or systems
  • Comfortable communicating openly and transparently, assuming good intent, speaking up with courage and honesty
  • Ability to stay connected with global PBPs for client groups, keeping them aware of activities/developments
  • Initiative to tackle challenges, know when to escalate, learn from mistakes, and strive for excellence
  • Reliability in delivering on promises to clients/colleagues, with strong relationship-building skills

Responsibilities

  • Shape the people strategy for the global Energy business
  • Work alongside EVP & General Manager of Dow Jones Energy and her leadership team to drive organizational impact
  • Influence senior leadership and deliver measurable impact on people and business outcomes
  • Provide strategic partnership to senior leaders globally in organizational transformation, change management, employee engagement, talent/succession planning, career development, and workforce insights
  • Develop intimate understanding of supported businesses
  • Assemble teams to build/launch tools, optimize work processes, and drive change
  • Support leaders across countries/timezones, bridge cultural differences, and advocate for employees in a global matrixed environment
  • Stay connected with global PBPs for client groups, ensuring awareness of all client group activities/developments
  • Align people strategies to Dow Jones’ commercial goals and drive organizational performance
