The candidate should possess over 8 years of progressive HR experience, with a minimum of 4 years specifically in employee relations, investigations, and HR compliance. A minimum of 3 years of leadership experience managing and developing HR or ER professionals is required. Deep knowledge of U.S. and Canadian employment laws is essential, with global experience being a strong plus. Proven experience in building or scaling employee programs within high-growth or highly regulated companies, especially with distributed teams, is highly valued. Strong investigation skills, exceptional communication and mediation abilities, high integrity, discretion, a strategic mindset with strong execution capabilities, and a collaborative approach are also necessary qualifications.
The Director of People Operations & Employee Relations will lead the business-facing People Operations team, overseeing employee and leader support throughout the employee lifecycle, including data management, policy interpretation, leave administration, and general intake. They will build and scale operational processes for efficient service delivery and a seamless employee experience, fostering collaboration across People Operations, HRBPs, and COEs. Additionally, they will design and lead a proactive, scalable ER framework for investigations, performance management, conflict resolution, and corrective actions. This role involves serving as a senior advisor and escalation point for complex employee relations matters, partnering closely with Legal and HRBPs, and leading continuous improvement of employee investigations to ensure fairness, timeliness, documentation, and legal compliance. Identifying ER trends and risks through data analysis is also a key responsibility.
