Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred
  • 8+ years of experience in a similar role within investment banking, private equity, corporate development, or management consulting in a SaaS or technology company
  • Proven M&A and program management expertise with strong analytical, modeling, and presentation skills
  • Ability to influence at all organizational levels with an executive presence
  • Deep understanding of SaaS metrics, unit economics, and operational excellence

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain an M&A pipeline for potential ModMed acquisitions
  • Manage the full acquisition process, including deal sourcing, valuation analysis, due diligence planning and coordination, and post-close integration planning and execution
  • Conduct financial modeling and lead due diligence and integration efforts, including coordinating with internal functions, third-party advisors, ModMed’s private equity partner (Clearlake), and the acquisition target
  • Present internal updates to ModMed’s executive team and deal sponsors
  • Develop a deep understanding of the markets that ModMed serves. Build and/or refine ModMed’s perspective on our competitive landscape, including market maps and TAM/SAM, for ModMed’s specialties, products, and services
  • Identify and analyze product and service expansion opportunities, including product/service adjacencies and new medical specialties
  • Conduct in-depth competitive intelligence and partner with internal teams and leadership on strategic decision-making
  • Identify, manage, and lead cross-functional internal consulting projects (e.g., go-to-market optimization, process reengineering, org structure alignment)
  • Manage internal engagements from problem definition through implementation, including stakeholder alignment, analysis, project planning, and change management
  • Utilize PMO techniques to drive operational excellence
  • Analyze data to inform business decisions and present findings to executive management and steering committees
