The Director of Business Development, United States Air Force (USAF) should possess a Bachelor's degree and demonstrate a strong understanding of the U.S. Department of Defense and military procurement processes. Experience in business development, particularly within the defense sector, is highly desirable, along with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and value flexibility.
This role involves defining long-term strategic objectives for the USAF market, developing actionable plans to achieve these objectives, executing the strategy effectively, identifying and cultivating strategic alliances and partners, driving the capture of new government and military business opportunities, conducting customer engagements and call planning to build trust and rapport with senior leaders, and developing a comprehensive strategy for the USAF aligning short-term activities with long-term strategic objectives.
