Requirements

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in employee and labor relations, with a strong track record in the EMEA region
  • Deep knowledge of employment laws and labor practices across multiple EMEA countries
  • Proven success in union negotiations, works council engagement, and managing complex employee relations cases
  • Exceptional interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and manage sensitive issues with professionalism
  • Fluent in English; additional European languages a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Law, Business Administration, or related field; advanced degree preferred
  • Based in Western or Central Europe

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement regional employee and labor relations strategies aligned with global HR policies and local legislation
  • Lead complex investigations, grievance procedures, and conflict resolution efforts with discretion and integrity
  • Partner with legal counsel and HR teams to manage collective bargaining agreements, union relationships, and works council engagements
  • Monitor and interpret labor law developments across EMEA, ensuring compliance and risk mitigation
  • Provide coaching and training to HR and management on employee relations best practices
  • Drive continuous improvement in workplace culture, employee engagement, and policy adherence
  • Lead crisis response and change management initiatives related to workforce transitions, reorganizations, or disputes
  • Design and deliver training programs for HR and management on employee relations, conflict resolution, and compliance
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, HR partners, and legal teams, ensuring consistent and culturally sensitive approaches to labor relations across diverse jurisdictions
  • Deliver strategic partnership and practical support to the business across the region
