Requirements

Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field, prior experience leading Federal Sales Engineering teams, and CJIS clearance. A strong technical aptitude, a sales engineering background or at least 5 years of relevant work experience, and the ability to travel as required are essential. Experience with security products, SaaS-based security offerings, malware, threat intelligence, sandbox analysis, programming/scripting languages (PowerShell, Python, Bash), virtualization/VDI technologies, large-scale cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), understanding of the OSI model, and knowledge of FedRAMP and Impact Level (IL) frameworks are considered advantageous. Certifications such as CEH, CISSP, OSCP, and SANS are a plus.

Responsibilities

The Director of Federal Sales Engineering will lead and grow a team of Sales Engineers supporting the U.S. Federal business, guiding technical pre-sales efforts, mentoring engineering talent, and driving solution alignment for federal customers. This role involves working closely with Sales, Product Management, Engineering, and Threat Intelligence teams to ensure the CrowdStrike platform meets federal mission requirements, acquisition strategies, and compliance frameworks. The director will also articulate complex security problems, act as a technical bridge between CrowdStrike and federal prospects/customers, and present to various external audiences, including C-level executives.
