Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science or a technical field and 15+ years of applicable work experience; OR an advanced degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a technical field and 12+ years of applicable work experience
  • Strong track record for architectural leadership in SAP ERP and Cloud space
  • Assess current-state architecture and design the complete future-state solution, defining integrated strategies for tenants, data, integration, and analytics by leveraging SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud, SAP BTP, SAC, Joule, and AI/ML capabilities
  • Deep understanding of cross-functional business processes including commercial, manufacturing, quality, regulatory, legal, procurement, and supply chain
  • Deep understanding of present-state SAP architecture and the future vision with RISE and Cloud-based solutions
  • Leadership in IT delivery methodologies, tools, and governance when dealing with large ERP platforms
  • Strong organizational and change management awareness
  • Motivational communicator and driver of ideas, based on facts and data
  • Expertise in Supplier management with suppliers such as SAP, OpenText, Oracle, Microsoft, AWS, and Alibaba
  • Strong executive presence and strategic mindset
  • Capability to work with cross-functional teams, cross-divisional teams, global teams, and the different SAP “pods” such as Symphony, MedDev, Catalys
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the capability to leverage both established and emerging technologies

Responsibilities

  • Establish the architectural vision, strategy, and IT roadmap for Abbott, ensuring technological consistency, optimizing costs, and enhancing productivity
  • Collaborate closely with business and IT leaders to ensure IT solutions align with business objectives
  • Partner across BTS with teams that drive Cyber, Digital, Infrastructure, Cloud Services, Privacy, Quality & Compliance and Regional IT governance, and Global Process Owners to architect best-in-class process adoptions
  • Define the architectural and deployment path for ECC to S/4 migration for all active SAP ECC systems to SAP S/4 HANA
  • Provide functional solution architecture for functional areas namely Finance (RTR), Commercial (OTC), Procurement (STP/PTP), Supply Chain (SCM/QM/Mfg.), Global Trade & Compliance, and Analytics/BI
  • Share and drive ideas with executive leadership at DVP level and up
  • Build and maintain an “Abbott first” focused team, leveraging global talent, to deliver architectural solutions for success
  • Inspire and guide architecture, solution delivery, and IT service teams to develop a service-driven culture that fosters high productivity
  • Establish a community of architectural excellence within BTS, embedding architectural thinking as a core way of working
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of global standards, principles, and reference models for application, data, security, and infrastructure architecture
  • Operate with a high degree of autonomy while following a structured accountability framework
  • Influence the organization’s architecture strategy and engage with senior management to align governance and business objectives
