Requirements

  • Knowledge of gathering business requirements and ensuring regulatory compliance
  • Experience engaging supplier partners for capacity and demand alignment
  • Skills in driving compliance for indirect materials and linking with global teams on policies/procedures
  • Capability to use 'scouting approach' for influencing R&D/Commercial in NPI process, monitoring product pipeline/LCM, and supporting product platforming
  • Leadership in providing divisional input to category strategies and engaging supplier leadership
  • Talent development experience, including mentoring, coaching, and implementing talent initiatives

Responsibilities

  • Establish and implement short/long-term goals, strategic plans, policies, and procedures for the Division aligned with Group performance metrics
  • Deliver on key objectives (AOP) for delivery, quality, service, cost, innovation, and growth in Division Procurement
  • Coordinate long-range strategies with business partners across the Division and implement plans
  • Partner with Category Managers, R&D, Engineering to deliver annual value improvements and competitive advantage
  • Partner with Supply Chain to create demand plans for supplier partners
  • Work with Shared Service and P2P process team for efficient end-to-end delivery models
  • Coordinate business projects/programs (e.g., M&A integration, make or buy, vendor transition, CSR), monitor execution, and communicate results to senior leaders
  • Ensure alignment with business colleagues within the Group and Division on projects
  • Serve as point of contact for implementing Enterprise Processes (Supplier Quality, Risk, Management)
  • Gather Division business requirements and assure regulatory compliance
  • Engage supplier partners for capacity to meet demand and close gaps with Category Management
  • Drive/track compliance for indirect materials and link with Global team on policies/procedures
  • Use ‘scouting approach’ to influence R&D/Commercial earlier in NPI, monitor product pipeline (LCM), support product platforming
  • Serve as escalation point for Procurement within Division and resolve issues with Category Management
  • Consolidate, analyze, and report divisional procurement metrics for business reviews
  • Provide division input to category strategies (Global, Group-specific) and support implementation
  • Engage supplier leadership to solve problems and align with Thermo Fisher objectives
  • Develop/assess purchasing talent, improve resource productivity/professionalism
  • Mentor/develop staff through coaching and development plans
  • Implement talent initiatives to improve Employee Involvement Survey results
  • Drive development/implementation of common processes, standardized practices, tools, and technologies scalable company-wide
