Requirements

Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Sciences, Healthcare Administration, or a related field, and a minimum of 5 years of experience as a Cardiac Sonographer, along with at least 7 years of progressive leadership experience in diagnostic imaging services, including 3+ years in a director-level role. They should also have experience with quality assurance programs and multi-site or remote operations, and be credentialed as a Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS or RCS) preferred. Certification in Healthcare Management (e.g., CMPE, CPHQ) is a plus.

Responsibilities

The Director, Diagnostic Imaging Services will provide strategic and operational leadership for all diagnostic imaging services across the organization, with a particular focus on echocardiography and ultrasound services, overseeing planning, development, coordination, quality assurance, and evaluation. They will ensure clinical excellence, regulatory compliance, fiscal responsibility, and alignment with the organization’s strategic goals, while fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, continuous learning, and quality patient care. Key responsibilities include providing strategic direction for imaging services nationwide, overseeing daily operations and performance, establishing KPIs and QA programs, collaborating with clinical teams and vendors, ensuring regulatory compliance, managing budgets, spearheading innovation, and leading a diverse team in a virtual environment.
