Requirements

  • Deep understanding of DEI practices and principles combined with strong business acumen
  • Past experience in DEI and/or Talent Management (with a focus on Learning & Development) and/or HRBP roles (preferred)
  • Extensive partnership experience with business leaders and executives
  • Strong program and project management capabilities, including ability to manage and prioritize multiple responsibilities to achieve strategic objectives
  • Experience managing a team of employees (preferred)
  • Minimum of 9 years of directly relevant experience
  • Master’s Degree in Human Resources or related field (will accept suitable combination of education, experience, and training)
  • Demonstrating neutral and composed leadership across diverse communities, leading with an open and inclusive mindset
  • Experience in program development and implementation, especially as it pertains to agility with change management
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to present in front of large audiences
  • Capability to build and maintain cross-functional networks and navigate complex organizational structures to deliver business results
  • Ability to stay abreast of best practices in the DEI space and integrate them meaningfully into Nike’s programming

Responsibilities

  • Partner closely with Sr HRBPs, HR Centres of Excellence (COEs), and Business Leaders to integrate Nike’s DEI philosophy into hiring, development, engagement, and retention strategies for Enterprise programs
  • Lead a team of employees to partner with HRBPs of Corporate Business teams to proactively advise on impactful DEI programming and insights
  • Oversee the strategy of how DEI is integrated into Enterprise talent practices, policies, and accessibility standards
  • Leverage DEI expertise to consult with Enterprise HR COEs (L&D, Talent Acquisition, People Solutions, Performance Excellence, etc.) and oversee DEI integration into talent practices, programs, and policies to make them inclusive, equitable, and accessible
  • Build collective accountability amongst larger HR and business leadership teams to drive DEI outcomes with a data-driven focus
  • Partner with HRBPs supporting corporate business teams to operationalize central DEI strategy, aligning with business priorities and embedding customizations as needed
  • Oversee a team of employees supporting corporate HRBPs with DEI matters and focusing on specific talent functional areas/verticals (e.g., DEI + L&D, DEI + Talent Acquisition, Accessibility)
  • Act as a strategic thought partner to HRBPs by advising on impactful DEI programming and insights, consulting on complex DEI issues, and leading with data-driven programming
  • Audit corporate businesses’ DEI initiatives to ensure all programming is centrally hosted by the DEI team and partner with HRBPs to establish a council structure for DEI topics
  • Ensure accessibility inclusion is front and center of everything done at Nike
  • Embed a data-driven approach to defining success metrics for corporate business teams and review insights for meaningful future programming
  • Engage externally to benchmark best practices and incorporate the latest research in the DEI domain
  • Foster a culture of DEI stewardship, being the face of DEI for brands, sites, and Geos, leading complex conversations with confidence and grace
