Requirements

Candidates should have over 10 years of experience in data engineering or infrastructure roles, with expertise in platform or central operations environments. Proficiency with tools such as Snowflake, dbt, Fivetran, and orchestration frameworks like Airflow or Dagster is essential. A strong understanding of cloud-native data architecture, multi-tenant models, infrastructure-as-a-service principles, and experience supporting analytical and AI/ML use cases are required. The ability to scale platforms for federated and decentralized teams is also necessary.

Responsibilities

The Director, Data Infrastructure & Engineering will own the architecture and operations of the centralized data infrastructure, supporting a federated data strategy. This includes end-to-end ownership of the foundational data stack (Snowflake, dbt, Fivetran, orchestration, observability, discoverability, access management), designing and evolving scalable data infrastructure, and leading the implementation of ELT/ETL pipelines for analytical and AI/ML use cases. Responsibilities also include defining and enforcing governance, access control, and lineage, identifying opportunities to normalize data, building and maintaining platform reliability, scalability, and cost efficiency, and evaluating new technologies. The role involves acting as a strategic partner to analytics, AI, and domain teams, leading a data evangelism program, collaborating with stakeholders to socialize best practices, and building and leading a high-performing infrastructure team.
