The Director of Accounting will oversee all daily accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and grants accounting, for a family of non-profit companies. This role involves directing the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements in compliance with GAAP and nonprofit healthcare standards, managing month-end and year-end close processes, and supervising accounting managers and staff. Key responsibilities include implementing internal controls, serving as the primary contact for annual audits and Form 990 filings, ensuring compliance with Uniform Guidance and grant reporting, and partnering with leadership on budgeting and forecasting. The Director will also recommend and implement process improvements, support financial system enhancements, and ensure robust financial systems capable of supporting multiple funding streams and complex reporting.
