Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a Life Sciences field or related lab experience
  • Minimum of 0-1 years related work experience (e.g., customer service, telephone experience)
  • Demonstrated proficiency with computer applications, including MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint (Salesforce a plus)
  • General knowledge of the assigned product portfolio and/or customer segment
  • Knowledge of life sciences and workflows or hands-on laboratory experience in a research lab setting, particularly in genomics (desired)
  • Experience in remote selling (phone or digital) and customer consultation (desired)
  • Ability to communicate in English
  • Strong interpersonal skills, positive demeanor, and professional mannerisms
  • Detail-oriented, excellent communicator, self-motivated, and able to work effectively in a multi-task environment
  • Practical understanding of the sales process & buying cycle
  • Minimal travel may be required (up to 5%)

Responsibilities

  • Leverage product features, benefits, scientific techniques, applications, and soft selling skills to follow up and qualify leads, initiate and close sales, and promote company products and services to achieve or exceed growth targets
  • Manage in-bound inquiries and cultivate customer relationships at assigned accounts
  • Anticipate evolving customer needs and serve as a trusted partner to deliver outstanding customer experience at pre-identified accounts within North America
  • Become an expert in specific Biosciences (BID) product portfolios
  • Respond positively to and expeditiously process all incoming inquiries, email, and meeting requests from customers
  • Provide a high level of customer service excellence to assist customers digitally through various forms of technology remotely
  • Triage and troubleshoot customer needs and ensure the customer is directed to the appropriate company resource
  • Facilitate the information flow between customers, sales reps/account managers, technical sales specialists, customer service, and technical services
  • Provide quotes, pricing, and promotions to customers based on their unique needs
  • Log opportunities in Salesforce.com
