Requirements

Candidates should have 5+ years of experience in DevOps, systems engineering, or software development. A strong background in CI/CD automation and Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, Puppet) is required, along with hands-on experience with AWS or Azure cloud platforms. Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Ruby, PowerShell, Shell, etc.), solid knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and orchestration tools, and familiarity with networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, load balancing, VLANs) are also necessary. Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Dynatrace, Splunk, Grafana, CloudWatch) is expected, and AWS or Azure certifications, knowledge of cybersecurity and DevSecOps practices, proven ability to support large-scale, distributed systems, and experience with system hardening, patch management, and SaaS operations are considered nice-to-haves.

Responsibilities

The DevOps Engineer will design, build, and scale secure and automated platforms, modernize infrastructure, and accelerate delivery through CI/CD. Responsibilities include building and optimizing CI/CD pipelines and environments, implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automating configuration management, and developing automation for build, release, and deployment processes. They will manage and scale AWS/Azure environments and SaaS operations, plan for capacity changes, optimize data storage schemas, and support application software, systems, and platform services. Additionally, the engineer will monitor services for uptime, performance, and fault resolution, apply “Privacy-by-Design” and “Security-by-Design” principles, and implement backup, restore, and disaster recovery strategies. They will also act as a key liaison between Agile development and infrastructure operations, mentor junior engineers, promote DevOps best practices, and partner with cross-functional teams and third-party vendors.
