Requirements

Candidates should have 5+ years of experience with Python and Bash Scripting, and IaC tools such as Terraform. Demonstrable experience developing RESTful APIs using Python, AWS API (boto3), and Kubernetes API is required. The role also requires 5+ years of experience with Configuration Management, Infrastructure-as-Code tools, and Public Cloud Services (AWS Cloud preferred, certification preferred), as well as 5+ years of experience working with Linux and supporting Java applications on Linux. Additionally, 4+ years of experience working with Kubernetes and containerization is necessary, along with demonstrable infrastructure troubleshooting skills. A one-year contract is offered for this position based in Chennai, India.

Responsibilities

The DevOps Engineer will be responsible for building, configuring, and maintaining critical business systems, including PaaS instances of the E6 proprietary software platform, Kubernetes clusters, Terraform Infrastructure-as-Code, Jenkins build servers, Linux and Windows servers, and cloud infrastructure. Responsibilities include releasing software to hosted and on-prem clients, updating and enhancing internal documentation, and participating in an on-call rotation. The role may also involve infrequent travel to client sites or company events.
