Requirements

Candidates should have 6+ years of engineering experience and 3+ years of DevRel related experience, with a preference for B2B, AI, cloud, and/or developer tools. A proven track record of shipping software projects with fast adoption and viral growth is essential, along with a technical background that allows for rapid building and learning. The ideal candidate is a self-starter capable of analyzing ambiguous situations, developing plans, executing, and iterating, with the ability to operate with urgency, build consensus, and lead cross-functional teams. A customer focus and motivation to become an expert on the industry, customers, product, ecosystem, and competitors are required. Active contribution to online and/or in-person communities is also necessary. Bonus points for having an engaged online following and an interest in growing a personal audience.

Responsibilities

The Developer Advocate will own the DevRel strategy and execution at Roboflow, driving awareness and adoption of Roboflow tools within the developer community. This role involves developing tools and integrations to enhance the user experience, building projects to improve the main Roboflow product, and creating demos, applications, and technical content. Responsibilities include sharing progress online, promoting Roboflow on social media, and creating educational content for technical audiences. The Developer Advocate will collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Design teams to develop new projects, write guides, examples, and documentation, and build community through online and in-person engagement, including talks, conferences, hackathons, and events. Active participation in communities like HN, subreddits, Discord groups, GitHub Issues, and the Roboflow forum is expected, along with generating new ideas for community amplification and expansion.
