Candidates must have experience with Windows 10 Operating System, Windows Server 2012 and 2016, and Windows PowerShell. Proficiency in Active Directory user, computer, and group administration, along with DNS and DHCP configuration, is required. Knowledge of Group Policy Management, folder sharing and permissions, firewall and VPN administration, and VOIP system administration is essential. Familiarity with networking and virtualization concepts, as well as basic cybersecurity principles, is also necessary.
The Desktop and Network Support role involves installing, implementing, maintaining, and upgrading internal information systems, including network infrastructure, end-user workstations, servers, and business system applications. Responsibilities include software and hardware installation, workstation deployment and redeployment, system backup and data recovery operations, and enforcing security policies. The position also requires supporting and administering third-party applications, obtaining and maintaining DoD Secret security clearance, administering IT assets, resolving problems reported by end users, and researching and making recommendations on the latest trends.
