Requirements

Candidates should possess UX Design expertise, including defining UX quality standards, pushing teams toward innovation, and driving best practices across research, strategy, and execution. They should also demonstrate strong visual design skills, championing high-quality visual execution and identifying trends and emerging technologies like 3D, spatial design, and new tooling, as well as a solid understanding of product strategy to ensure design work aligns with product roadmaps and market positioning.

Responsibilities

As a Design Director, you will lead by doing, balancing leadership with hands-on design execution, and working alongside teams to create and ship exceptional work. You will partner with Account Directors to align design strategies with client business priorities, act as a trusted design advisor, and present work effectively to stakeholders. Furthermore, you will apply service design and change management principles, work with the Partnerships team to scope design work, build strong client relationships, foster a collaborative design culture, hire, mentor, and develop Design Leads, and represent Metalab in the design community.
