Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalency preferred (pre-employment assessment required if not held)
  • 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to use basic hand tools
  • Ability to apply basic mathematical skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to work in noise levels from quiet to extremely loud
  • Required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including eye, ear, and foot protection
  • May occasionally lift and/or move up to 10-50 pounds
  • Must meet physical requirements for wearing respirators (PFTs, fit tests, medical evaluations)

Responsibilities

  • Review planning/engineering, work instructions, and tooling to verify work process and quality requirements
  • Utilize hand tools and small power tools to safely remove burrs and create edge breaks
  • Inspect part dimensions to ensure adherence to blueprint specifications and identify quality issues
  • Read and interpret blueprints to verify configuration meets requirements
  • Use measuring equipment (gauges, scales, calipers, etc.)
  • Perform accurate and timely completion of job order documentation, paperwork, part counts, and tie-in information
  • Participate in Team-Based Corrective Action process to resolve quality/safety issues
  • Work with team members using Lean/Continuous Improvement processes to reduce waste, safety risks, and improve quality
  • Perform other tasks as directed by supervision/management, including assisting non-production and administrative tasks
  • Final product hand finishing

  • Flat pattern deburring and tab trimming
