High school diploma or equivalency preferred (pre-employment assessment required if not held)
1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment
Ability to use basic hand tools
Ability to apply basic mathematical skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time
Ability to work in noise levels from quiet to extremely loud
Required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including eye, ear, and foot protection
May occasionally lift and/or move up to 10-50 pounds
Must meet physical requirements for wearing respirators (PFTs, fit tests, medical evaluations)

Responsibilities

Review planning/engineering, work instructions, and tooling to verify work process and quality requirements
Utilize hand tools and small power tools to safely remove burrs and create edge breaks
Inspect part dimensions to ensure adherence to blueprint specifications and identify quality issues
Read and interpret blueprints to verify configuration meets requirements
Use measuring equipment (gauges, scales, calipers, etc.)
Perform accurate and timely completion of job order documentation, paperwork, part counts, and tie-in information
Participate in Team-Based Corrective Action process to resolve quality/safety issues
Work with team members using Lean/Continuous Improvement processes to reduce waste, safety risks, and improve quality
Perform other tasks as directed by supervision/management, including assisting non-production and administrative tasks
Final product hand finishing
Checking and straightening
Flat pattern deburring and tab trimming
