Requirements

  • Skills to conduct start-up meetings discussing previous results, expectations, issues, safety, and assignments
  • Ability to ensure paperwork is accurate, complete, and submitted on time, plus monitor/assist in new employee training

Responsibilities

  • Perform duties and functions within the department; assist managers with daily duties (80% on-floor focus on workflow and team productivity)
  • Meet with DC Supervisors to review workload, allocate team members, and review shift goals/objectives
  • Keep workflow moving through departments as specified; ensure team members have tools and coach on processes
  • Ensure team members work safely and efficiently
  • Be available on the floor for Gemba walks, equipment training verification, training ramp-ups, observations, and gap time coaching
  • Communicate regularly with DC Supervisors on issues and react as required
  • Conduct start-up meetings with team members on prior results, daily expectations, issues, safety, and assignments
  • Ensure all required paperwork is accurate, complete, and turned in on time
  • Monitor and assist in training new employees
