Responsibilities

  • Contribute as a member of the Data Infrastructure and Compliance Engineering squad to deliver data products and resolve data-related technical issues
  • Help build and manage automation tools and data pipelines that meet Data Governance and Data Security Standards
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) templates (e.g., Terraform) to provision and manage cloud data resources
  • Use Python and Scala to utilize Spark to collect and manage data at scale
  • Collaborate with the team to identify, design, and implement process improvements, including automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, and re-designing infrastructure for greater reliability and performance
  • Help to support the engineering of distributed systems, frameworks, and design patterns, enabling efficient usage of Ibotta’s Data Lake
  • Evangelize Data Engineering and supporting capabilities with Platform and Analytics teams
