Candidates must possess a Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative or technical discipline such as Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Data Science, or Engineering, coupled with over 3 years of experience in an analytics or data-focused role. Proficiency in SQL, including transformations and query optimization, and Python is essential. Experience with advanced analytics techniques like clustering, regression, and predictive modeling, as well as hands-on experience with Business Intelligence and data visualization tools such as Looker, is required. Familiarity with automation, AI tools, or scripting for process improvement is an asset. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for diverse audiences, manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment with strong organizational and prioritization skills, possess exceptional attention to detail, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities, and exhibit strong communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional work. Experience in retail, consumer goods, or supplier/vendor analytics is considered an asset.
The Data Analyst, Merchandising will lead analytics investigations and special projects for the Supplier Organization, collaborating with cross-functional partners to define requirements, develop statistical models, and deliver insights that shape brand, merchandising, and category strategies. This role involves designing and executing advanced analytics models and tools, such as assortment clustering, to inform strategic decision-making and managing the analytics intake and prioritization process. Responsibilities also include defining, designing, and developing dashboards and reports for key metrics and KPIs using BI tools and data languages, building and maintaining supplier reporting to strengthen supplier relationship management and joint business planning, and delivering timely ad hoc analysis while ensuring data integrity. The analyst will act as a subject matter expert for AI and automation within the Supplier Organization, identifying opportunities to streamline workflows and enhance reporting, and partnering with stakeholders to pilot, implement, and support the adoption of efficiency tools.
