Requirements

  • A juris doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-accredited law school
  • 3-5 years of professional experience as an attorney (this is a junior counsel role)
  • Licensed to practice law in any U.S. jurisdiction
  • Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal
  • Prior experience negotiating technology/SaaS agreements, NDAs, and data processing agreements
  • Excellent project management instincts
  • “Get things done” mentality; ability to dissect problems, identify solutions, and drive solutions to completion with high degree of autonomy
  • True team player with a track record of successful cross-functional collaboration

Responsibilities

  • Review, revise, and negotiate all types of procurement, partnership, and sales agreements, as well as NDAs, and other legal documents
  • Provide commercial legal advice to procurement, partnership, and sales teams
  • Ensure compliance with relevant company policies
  • Work closely with procurement to build processes and tools for negotiating procurement agreements at scale
  • Help build new processes to improve team’s and Ramp’s efficiency
  • Drive consistency across deals by helping to optimize, streamline, and standardize contractual language
  • Provide ad-hoc legal advice where needed
  • Assist in building playbooks and pre-approved terms
  • Help organize and create legal training for Ramp colleagues
