Candidates must possess a Law degree and a license to practice law in at least one state within the United States of America. They should demonstrate the ability to conduct complex legal analysis and research, thoroughly analyze complex claims and legal issues with attention to detail, and provide legal and coverage analysis, advice, risk assessment, guidance, and oversight to relevant teams.
The Corporate Counsel will conduct thorough legal research and analysis of all referred matters, manage assigned litigation including selecting defense counsel and monitoring discovery, evaluate settlement potential, review adequacy of reserves, attend legal proceedings, monitor third-party claims and lawsuits, prepare reports outlining potential exposure, and adhere to reporting requirements dictated by corporate guidelines and state codes.
