Requirements

Candidates should possess 3+ years of substantive privacy or commercial legal experience with an expressed interest in privacy and/or data compliance, knowledge of worldwide data protection regulations including GDPR and HIPAA, exceptional organizational, project management, and prioritization skills, the ability to think and execute both strategically and tactically, outstanding written and oral communication skills, and the ability to work with a wide variety of people at all levels in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

The Corporate Counsel will draft, negotiate, and close privacy and data protection agreements with customers, support commercial attorneys on data protection issues in negotiations, support department management with evaluating security-related issues in negotiations, research and analyze new and evolving data governance regulations related to privacy and data compliance, support continuous improvements of templates, policies, and processes to support privacy team compliance efforts, and ensure every Snowflake employee follows the company’s confidentiality and security standards for handling sensitive data while abiding by the company’s data security plan to keep customer information secure and confidential.
