Privacy Specialist

Position Overview

Airtable is seeking a proactive Privacy Specialist to join our team. This role is crucial for shaping the future of privacy within a dynamic, data-driven company. You will lead key privacy initiatives, including managing our cookie compliance program, embedding privacy-by-design principles, and ensuring adherence to global data protection standards. This position offers the opportunity to leverage automation and advanced tools to scale and optimize privacy operations, making a significant impact on how personal data is protected.

What You'll Do

• Manage Airtable’s cookie compliance program, including its cookie banner and the categorization of cookies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as marketing, sales, revops, engineering, and legal to implement privacy-by-design principles across various Airtable processes.
• Conduct and refresh data mapping and inventory (ROPA) to ensure the proper handling of personal data across business systems.
• Perform privacy assessments, including privacy impact assessments and legitimate interest assessments, for new and existing processes, ensuring appropriate privacy controls are in place (e.g., notice at point of data collection).
• Respond to, manage, and enhance data subject access requests (DSARs) in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Maintain privacy processes that comply with ISO27701.
• Enhance and maintain the privacy controls framework mapped to ISO27701 and Airtable’s in-scope privacy laws.
• Perform gap assessments and translate findings into technical requirements for existing and upcoming privacy laws and regulations.

Who You Are

• Experience: 6+ years of experience in privacy compliance.
• Technical Skills:
  • In-depth technical knowledge of consent management platforms (for cookies and communication consent), such as OneTrust and Google Tag Manager, and integrating privacy requirements.
  • Strong experience implementing and maintaining cookie banners across multiple domains.
  • In-depth experience automating DSAR, ROPA, and privacy assessment processes using privacy tooling.
• Regulatory Knowledge:
  • In-depth experience with ISO27701, GDPR, CCPA, and other US State Privacy Laws.
  • General experience with the Data Privacy Framework (DPF) and global privacy laws.
• Assessment Experience: Experience conducting privacy impact assessments and risk assessments.
• Work Style:
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Ability to balance privacy requirements with business needs.
• Training Experience: Experience with role-based privacy training.
