Candidates must possess a Juris Doctor (JD) or Master of Laws (LLM) degree or its foreign equivalent, and be an active member of at least one US state bar, along with 5 or more years of relevant legal experience in government, law firms, or in-house roles, and familiarity with ECPA, the Stored Communications Act, CALEA, the CLOUD Act, and/or FISA. They should also have experience handling sensitive matters and maintaining confidentiality, and be proficient in resolving complex issues and advising on multiple projects with teams across multiple time zones.
As the Counsel, Law Enforcement & Government Response, the individual will serve as Twilio’s lead attorney for responding to government inquiries and investigations, provide legal advice to the team handling requests from law enforcement and regulatory agencies, ensure company’s response reflects principles on data privacy and consumer trust, advise on platform compliance and investigate potential violations, work cross-functionally with various legal and product teams, and partner with teams to address legal challenges related to law enforcement and national security.”} id=
