Requirements

3-5 years’ experience within an industrial setting with heavy focus on electrical and PLCs
Strong electronic and PLC skills with proficient knowledge of Allen-Bradley applications (SLC500, Micrologix, Micro850, ControlLogix, CompactLogix)
Familiarity with Siemens PLCs and servo drives, Moeller PLCs, and other PLCs
Proficient understanding of applicable software, program languages, and printed logic
Ability to program, including writing, re-writing, and creating new operating programs
Understanding of current applications and systems, both mechanical and electrical
Proficient computer skills, including word processing and software understanding
Strong general math skills
Ability to pass electrical skills and safety testing to become a qualified Category 2 worker
Capable of performing electrical work on systems up to 480 Volts

Responsibilities

Achieve high level of reliability for plant equipment through maintenance tasks to minimize downtime
Perform equipment/process/system maintenance, troubleshoot equipment, make repairs, and identify/implement improvement opportunities
Establish and maintain accurate, current, and secure documentation of printed logic, PLC programs, drive parameters, electronic files, and supporting software
Handle maintenance, system set-up, and selection of supporting hardware
Evaluate applications of electronic systems and software
Facilitate electronic and PLC training within the department
Seek out and identify obsolete, unsupported, or deficient systems; research solutions, report, prepare scope of work, and cost estimates
Actively participate in process improvement, new installations, and make-ready for electronic, PLC, or mechanical projects
Function as a maintenance technician as needed, including PM duties, project work, scheduled maintenance, and breakdown maintenance
Serve as a resource on weekends or nights as needed
Work with site MRO Coordinator on inventory management of related electronic spares
