Contract AI Tech Recruiter
Position Overview
SpyCloud is seeking an experienced Contract AI Tech Recruiter to support our rapid growth by scaling technical hiring efforts. The ideal candidate will excel at sourcing, engaging, and closing top-tier engineering, machine learning, and data science talent. This role requires a deep understanding of the competitive AI talent landscape and the ability to operate efficiently while maintaining high standards for quality and candidate experience.

Responsibilities
- Full-Cycle Recruiting: Manage the end-to-end recruitment process for critical AI/ML, software engineering, and technical product roles.
- Hiring Manager Partnership: Collaborate closely with hiring managers to define ideal candidate profiles and refine interview processes.
- Pipeline Development: Build and maintain diverse candidate pipelines using various sourcing strategies, including LinkedIn, GitHub, and AI-focused communities.
- Candidate Evaluation: Conduct phone screens and assess both technical and non-technical qualifications of candidates.
- Candidate Experience: Ensure a high-quality candidate experience throughout the entire recruitment lifecycle.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with internal teams such as People Operations, Finance, and Legal to ensure smooth and compliant hiring operations.
- Reporting: Track recruitment pipeline progress and provide regular updates on key metrics and hiring milestones.
Requirements
- Experience: 3–7+ years of experience as a technical recruiter, with a preference for experience in high-growth startups or top-tier recruiting agencies.
- AI/ML Hiring: Proven success in hiring for AI/ML roles, such as Machine Learning Engineers, Research Scientists, MLOps specialists, and Data Engineers.
- Talent Ecosystem Knowledge: Strong understanding of the AI talent landscape, including academic and industry pipelines.
- Multi-Req Management: Experience managing multiple requisitions across different departments and seniority levels.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities with both hiring managers and candidates.
- Tool Proficiency: Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) like Greenhouse, Lever, or Ashby, and sourcing tools such as LinkedIn Recruiter and Gem.
- Work Ethic: Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
