Requirements

  • Must be Safety Driven
  • At least five years of welding or manufacturing assembly experience
  • Must possess basic skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and E-Mail Clients
  • Must have proven time management skills
  • Must be able to work with a team to accomplish tasks given
  • Must be capable of independent decision-making and problem solving
  • Ability to read and interpret design prints and specifications
  • Ability to lift parts and materials up to 35lbs by hand
  • Ability to utilize cranes and lifting devices to transport heavier parts and materials
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time

Responsibilities

  • Work as a team, following work instructions to build Caterpillar machines (wheel loaders and motor graders)
  • Collaborate with support teams to make continuous improvements to the assembly process
  • Utilize assembly tools and lifting devices to make the work easier and safer
  • Own the work, actively seeking to learn and improve to ensure adherence to safety and quality
  • Operate and maintain welding equipment, machining equipment, CNC equipment, and mechanical tools
  • Plan, fabricate, test, and deliver products that conform to engineering designs
  • Inspect and evaluate products with precision measurement tools and techniques
  • Track and communicate project progress
  • Complete all classes assigned by the section manager
  • Interact with production and management employees professionally and productively
  • Work with multiple departments to provide solutions for continuous improvement opportunities
  • Work together on larger projects and receive feedback from shop floor personnel
  • Use computers and applications such as AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and Teams
