Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED and 1 year customer service or call center experience, or college degree or equivalent military experience
  • Demonstrate ability to develop comfort level with managing customer experience and financial consultation over the phone
  • Ability to professionally represent Fifth Third Bank in verbal and written communication
  • Demonstrated ability in making sound decisions
  • S.A.F.E. Act registration at the time of employment through the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS)

Responsibilities

  • Provide an exceptional customer experience through solution-based conversation of a full range of Fifth Third banking products and services over the phone
  • Provide support to existing customers by enhancing their relationships in an inbound call center environment and supporting the bank's marketing efforts
  • Apply knowledge of consumer banking products and financial need assessment tools to create a memorable customer experience and help customers achieve their financial goals
  • Use a consultative approach with current customers to uncover and identify their needs while tailoring recommendations/solutions
  • Maintain a well-developed, working knowledge of products, services, and processes offered
  • Work collaboratively with internal partners to ensure customer's needs are met
  • Follow the Bancorp Code of Business Conduct and Ethics and other related policies, modeling the ethical behavior expected from every employee within the Bancorp
  • Be responsible and accountable for risk by openly exchanging ideas and opinions, elevating concerns, and personally following policies and procedures as defined; always doing the right thing for customers and colleagues; and achieving results by consistently identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting risks of all types while operating within the Bank's risk appetite
