Snowflake Professional Services Consulting Manager - AI/ML

Salary: $150K - $210K Employment Type: Full-Time Location: 100% Remote (United States)

Position Overview

Snowflake Professional Services is seeking an experienced and technically adept Consulting Manager to lead a team of AI/ML Solutions Architects and Consultants. This role is crucial in guiding customers through the implementation and optimization of the Snowflake platform, focusing on AI/ML solutions to drive business outcomes. You will leverage your technical expertise and leadership skills to ensure project success and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Team Management: Manage, mentor, and develop a team of AI/ML Solutions Architects and Consultants, ensuring high-quality project delivery.
• Thought Leadership: Stay current with AI/ML advancements, tools, and industry trends to build and execute a strategy for Professional Services.
• Technical Oversight: Assess the quality and value of your team's technical contributions.
• Escalation Management: Serve as the first point of escalation for delivery concerns related to your team.
• Recruitment & Onboarding: Recruit, hire, and prepare new team members for success.
• Sales Collaboration: Partner with product and services sales teams to identify and close growth opportunities, ensuring effective strategy execution.
• Knowledge Sharing: Facilitate knowledge sharing and cross-team learning to foster continuous improvement.
• Strategic Influence: Collaborate with organizational leaders to influence Go-To-Market (GTM) strategies and lead improvement initiatives.
• Utilization & Project Work: Maintain a 70% utilization target, taking on strategic projects and providing billable oversight as needed.

Requirements

• University degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience:
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in customer-facing pre-sales or post-sales technical roles.
  • Minimum 10 years of people management experience, including mentoring, coaching, and team development.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in selling or positioning professional services, including scoping large projects, developing delivery estimates, and creating proposals.
• AI/ML Expertise:
  • Proven experience in both traditional Machine Learning (supervised, unsupervised learning) and Data Science.
  • Hands-on experience with Generative AI (GenAI) technologies, including Deep Learning, Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and Agentic AI.
  • Experience with open-source AI/ML frameworks.
  • Demonstrable experience leading the full lifecycle of AI/ML projects from ideation to production.
• Technical Skills:
  • Extensive hands-on experience with Python (including open-source AI/ML libraries) and SQL.
  • Outstanding presentation skills for both technical and executive audiences.
  • Understanding of the complete data analytics stack and workflow (Data Lakes, ETL, Data Warehousing, BI, AI/ML environments).
  • Strong skills in databases, data warehouses, and data processing.
  • Knowledge of and experience with large-scale database technologies (e.g., Oracle, Teradata, Netezza, Greenplum).
  • Familiarity and experience with common data integration, transformation, and AI/ML tools (e.g., Sagemaker, Jupyter Notebooks).
  • Extensive hands-on expertise with SQL and SQL analytics.
• Travel: Ability and flexibility to travel to customer sites up to 25% of the time.
