Requirements

Candidates should have 10+ years of hands-on experience in data science or machine learning engineering, with a strong foundation in statistical modeling, classical ML algorithms, and predictive modeling. Proficiency in Python, C++, and ML libraries such as pandas, NumPy, XGBoost, and LightGBM is required, along with experience in building, deploying, and maintaining models end-to-end in production environments. Familiarity with Databricks and Spark is expected, and experience in e-commerce, grocery, or subscription-based B2C models is a bonus. Experience leading cross-functional teams and driving data-science led roadmaps is preferred.

Responsibilities

The Director, Data Science will build, deploy, and maintain end-to-end machine learning models for personalization, recommendations, inventory optimization, and logistics. They will lead and evolve the ML function, collaborate cross-functionally with product, engineering, and ops teams, and own the full ML pipeline from data exploration to productionization. This role involves writing clean, production-ready code, staying current with ML trends, and applying innovative techniques to real-world problems.
