Requirements

Candidates must possess a minimum of 10 years of post-sales technical customer experience, with at least 3 years in people leadership and management. A minimum of 3 years of experience selling professional services, including scoping large projects and writing statements of work, is required. Extensive knowledge of large-scale database technologies (e.g., Oracle, Teradata, Netezza, Greenplum) and experience with non-relational platforms for large-scale data processing (e.g., Hadoop, HBase) are essential. Familiarity with data integration tools (e.g., Informatica, DataStage, Talend, Matillion) and BI/data exploration tools (e.g., Microstrategy, Business Objects, Tableau) is necessary, along with experience in infrastructure-as-a-service platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP). A university degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent experience, is required. Outstanding presentation skills for both technical and executive audiences are crucial, as is a strong understanding of the complete data analytics stack and workflow, including data architecture, data warehouses, and data engineering. Proven experience and success in selling data and/or analytics software to enterprise customers, including stakeholder identification and value proposition development, is mandatory. Flexibility for occasional travel is also required.

Responsibilities

The Consulting Manager will serve as a technical expert on Snowflake, guiding customers through migration planning and working with sales teams on engagement scoping, pricing, and statements of work. They will oversee successful professional services engagements, develop methodologies to enhance PS offerings, and create strategies for partnerships with technology vendors and system integrators. Responsibilities include managing internal accelerators and reusable collateral, maintaining an understanding of competitive technologies, and providing guidance on customer-specific technical challenges. The manager will also lead, mentor, and develop Snowflake Solutions Architects and Consultants, collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing, and present methodologies to internal teams, partners, and customers. Additionally, they will work with System Integrators and Technology Vendors on project pursuits, lead recruiting efforts for Solutions Architects, and provide delivery quality oversight for migration projects.
