Candidates must have at least 2 years of combined experience as a Quality Control Manager, Project Manager, Project Engineer, or Construction Manager on Federal Projects. A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Construction/Quality Control Manager on Government projects is required, along with 5 years of experience as a Safety Officer on construction projects. Clearable prior experience in Quality Control across civil, mechanical, electrical, structural, and architectural scopes is preferred. Experience as the CQC Manager on Federal projects or prior work for the Federal Government in their Quality Control program is mandatory. Willingness to work on-site at Ft. Belvoir is also required.
The Construction Quality Manager will work in conjunction with the Client, field staff, and subcontractors to ensure safety, quality, and timeliness of project construction and completion. They will ensure all activities comply with applicable OSHA regulations and have full responsibility for executing the Construction Quality Control Plan during the construction phase. Responsibilities include monitoring performance standards, coordinating required testing with the Owner’s Representative, preparing daily Production and QC reports, and ensuring compliance with contract specifications and building codes. The manager will collaborate with the Project Manager to develop schedules for submittals and review all submittals for accuracy before forwarding them. They will also implement and monitor the Project Accident Prevention Plan and maintain a safe construction site through worker training and provision of safety equipment.
