Requirements

Candidates should have an Associate's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field, with a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or Business Administration preferred. A minimum of 5-10 years of experience in general non-residential construction and construction project management is required, with 10 years of restaurant/retail construction management experience in a franchise organization being preferred. Proficiency in project management, budgeting, estimating, scheduling, Microsoft Office Suite, and cloud-based project tracking solutions is necessary, along with a working knowledge of building codes, ADA, and federal/state requirements. Strong organizational, relationship, and influencing skills are also essential.

Responsibilities

The Construction Manager will oversee new restaurant franchise projects from site selection to opening, providing guidance and support to franchisees. This role involves managing outside vendors, tracking schedules, validating project costs and quality, and reporting project status to internal partners. Responsibilities include directing multiple construction projects, acting as a company liaison to franchisees and vendors, assessing risks, communicating issues, ensuring adherence to brand standards, and participating in leadership and team meetings.
