Requirements

  • 5+ years of progressive experience in Compensation & Benefits (C&B), with significant experience in a senior, strategic role
  • Deep expertise in designing and managing complex equity and incentive plans, ideally in a post-merger or large-scale tech environment
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, multi-country European organisation
  • Proven analytical skills, with expert-level proficiency in Excel / Google Sheets
  • Strong track record of working autonomously, with the ability to partner with and influence executive-level stakeholders
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex compensation topics in a clear and simple manner
  • Pragmatic, data-driven, and hands-on approach to problem-solving
  • Fluency in English (proficiency in any additional European language is a plus)
  • Based in Amsterdam or region

Responsibilities

  • Own, evolve, and communicate the global total compensation philosophy and job matrix across the organisation
  • Manage and administer the post-merger Employee Incentive Plan (EIP), serving as the subject matter expert for all equity-related matters
  • Lead annual compensation review cycles, including salary benchmarking, budget modelling, and performance calibration
  • Partner closely with Finance on C&B budgeting, forecasting, and alignment with the company's profitability goals
  • Design, manage, and optimise benefits programs across multiple European countries, ensuring they are competitive, compliant, and cost-effective
  • Develop distinct C&B strategies for diverse employee populations, from corporate headquarters to on-the-ground operational teams, to drive retention and address specific market needs
  • Leverage HRIS to ensure data integrity, create insightful analytics, and provide reports on key C&B metrics for the executive team
  • Train the workforce and internal People team on C&B topics to ensure informed decision-making
  • Report directly to the CPO, taking full ownership of the compensation philosophy and its implementation, leading key projects, and partnering with senior leadership on all C&B decisions
